fairyniamh and I were talking about this last night. I don't know how to read or write in Japanese; but am a member of the
japanese community. I keep thinking I'll be able to start learning soon and then something always gets in the way.
Because of my ignorance, I was unsure about writing letters. I know the original request says that simple English letters would be ok, but I got hung up on it anyway.
Thank you
fairyniamh for kicking me in the tush. *wink* (You're post was just what I needed.)
Please take a look at this entry (
Here ) in the
japanese community. It's about Stu Levy (Tokyo Pop) and his effort in helping the Japanese who are shelters up in the north.
Like
fairyniamh says, not everyone CAN donate $5 to Red Cross, but maybe if some can't do that, then they can write a letter or send some other gesture of Encouragement, Hope, and Faith to these people who have endured such horrific loss and are facing such a daunting recovery process with such incredible Dignity and Grace.
Please spread the word and encourage everyone you know to express their support for our hurting brothers and sisters in Japan.
